Center for Digital Education: Answer: Ohio
Ohio is considering legislation that would give students income tax credits if they earn STEM degrees and stay in the state at least five years after they graduate. House Bill 123 is designed to shore up the STEM workforce in Ohio because so many graduates take jobs in states including California and Texas, according to NewarkAdvocate.com. Rep. Jay Hottinger, R-Newark, and Rep. Armond Budish, D-Beachwood, are co-sponsoring the bill.
