West Virginia seeks proposals for statewide HIE

Government Health IT: The West Virginia Health Information Network (WVHIN) is readying a request for proposals from firms to build-out a state-wide health information exchange.

WVHIN plans to release its RFP by early November, with vendor bids expected by the end of that month, according to the organization’s timeline.

Last year, WVHIN released a request for information that attracted the interest of 17 vendors. In its business plan, WVHIN said it will monitor “meaningful use” developments to keep the HIE procurement on track with federal requirements.  Read Article
